Three steps, about three minutes. Nothing is sent to anyone until you finish, and no member is texted until the first poll goes out tomorrow morning.
Paste whatever you already have
A group text, a spreadsheet, the list on the station wall. Any format. Names, phone numbers and roles are read out of it, and anything that cannot be read is shown to you rather than dropped.
Role words like chief, driver, EMT and firefighter are picked up automatically. You can change them on the next screen.
What is the smallest crew that can roll?
A window counts as a gap when the people available cannot make this crew. Pick the closest, and you can change it later.
Who are your mutual aid neighbours?
One department per line. If they run Turnout, their agent will answer yours directly. If they do not, Turnout drafts the text for you to send and you stay in the loop.
That is everything.
The first roll call goes out tomorrow at 06:30. You will hear from Turnout only when something needs you.
